Bluehost Web Hosting Help

cPanel says "You are logged in using the root or reseller password."

In November 2014 Bluehost announced that it will no longer be accepting new shared Reseller hosting signups. As part of that announcement, Bluehost announced a partnership with ResellerClub wherein Bluehost is recommending ResellerClub as the hosting partner of choice for Reseller hosting.

If this shows on the main page of cPanel, even when your client logs in, then the client's password is the same as the reseller or root owner's password. Please change your reseller WHM password to a unique password.

If this message only appears when the reseller or root user logs in from WHM (using the blue cP icon in the List Accounts tool), then this message is normal.

If the message only appears in phpMyAdmin, then this is also normal. The reseller or root owner is not allowed access to those specific cPanel tools.

The solution to this issue is that if you are the reseller or root user and want access to those tools, you will need to login to the client's cPanel directly with the actual cPanel username and password.
